No matter what I do, rosetta is now performing 8 tasks, but was previously performing 7 as I had it set for. I need 1 core for GPU tasks, so I have suspended work for now. Another project is using 7 as I have requested. I've tried setting it to 4 even and it still uses 8. Not sure what to do. |

Another project is using 7 as I have requested. I've tried setting it to 4 even and it still uses 8. Not sure what to do. Have tried everything I know to do. WCG is performing 7 tasks leaving the ability to use both GPUs. I switched back to Rosetta and it still uses all 8 cores. What's bothering me is that it wasn't at first. It used 7 as it was set for. Still suspending work for now... |

There are several approaches and places you might try to define a number of CPUs. Have you overridden the preferences for that PC with local values? If so, the local values will override what you configure on the website. Also, when you have multiple projects, check your BOINC message log to see which project your machine is looking to for global preferences. It may be using another project for the global preferences.
