and after monday's reported price-cut, maybe you can...

price of an x2 6000 is supposed to go from about $390 to $190...

and then there's intel's reported price-cuts towards the end of the month...

may's gonna be a good month to build that/those new system(s)...

i could use about a dozen amd cpu's and boxes so i could win this power struggle of credit

sounds nice but other expenses have made it difficult at best to do that kind of buying

Possible solution: Just rob a bank. Then you'd be all set. @:^P

Hqve to figure how to get around the dye packs. Can't hit bank trucks over here, its all packed in exploding cases and if you don't have the key or the code, POOF its all gone in smoke.

that's soooo old fashioned, everything is hi-tech
these days. just move some 0's and 1's around,
make certain any $ amount "reassigned" is divisible by 100,000
(keep those pesky forensic accountants busy for awhile, they'll
think its an innocent accounting mistake) and do a "scroogle"
(not google) search for countries without extradition treaties
to your home country.

see how easy that was?

and you too can become a winner !!!

Or just develope a crazy scheme. For example, if you want to feel happy, send me twenty dollars. @:^P

if someone can hack the military to search for UFO's then I am sure someone could hack the IRS and get our money back.

well then, why not just "hack" the transportation company, and
have a container of cpu's or @who's v-8s' delivered to
an abandonded warehouse or college campus...

prices for the amd x2 6000+ are all over the place today
(the day of amd's price cuts). "supposed" to be about $190,
but best i see is $229, to way over $500/$600 some places.

saturday's newegg was $390, today is $239.

i think intel's price cuts are somewhere around april 22.

everyone can be a "winner" this month if they are careful...

I say give it a couple of days. Chances are good, the sales haven't filtered through to all the distributers yet. I've seen this happen with fuel, and I'm assuming that processors are not immune to this either. @:^)

Eithor way, I'm waiting a few more years before I upgrade my system. Need something HUGE to upgrade to before taking the plunge...

By the way, HUMANS RULE!!! YAY!!! @:^)

welcome back eric! stick around and help the humans.

on the amd processor, i suspect it would require a new MB?
or would it work on a existing board that has the 280 like mine?

almost sounds like i would need a new system but could save the case.

but right now i have to save up again for a digital video recorder to replace the old vhs recorder. i have to spend all my savings on fixing the plastic front end of my scooter. so amd will have to wait a year or two before i update again.
