Also did a short tour of BK back then as well. @greg - you sound just a little too knowledgeable about that topic !!! @nevermore - ah yes, the infamous "belly bombers". actually have one or two within about 30 mins of me, but haven't been there in literally years. they only "rent" you the burgers, the burgers never stay long enough for you to truly "own" them..... black angus steak restaurant west coast only with hawaii and alaska as well. now theres where you get the real thing. the other restaurants only use local cow or some national grind cow and mix it up with their ingredients. Good local fresh cow on the grill can be had from Wendy's. Burger King and others use some other cow and add their ingredients for spices and freeze it and ship it. Wendy's chili uses the leftover cooked cow patties with its premade mix of beens and sauce. There isn't any Carls or Jacks over here in my neck of the plains either. Closest Carl or Jack I know about is near St. Louis, MO. Burger Vicerory... lol, good one :) I do know those restaurants populate the west. What I kind of crave is White Castle... Burger Viceroy may be my only choice, really no Carls or Jacks out here in New York, or even anywhere nearby on east coast..... Carls Jr. is ok, I don't know if Jack has the angus. Burger King's angus burger is decent... jack in the box = mad cow disease carls is probably better for your health but now the penguin is sounding like a human not a animal well, truth be told, i would enjoy a nice angus burger..... was that Carls Jr. or Jack-in-the-Box i have to go to, to pick one up?
