Hi there. I just installed the boinc software to participate in the rosetta network.
Everything runs - but my screensaver works only for a second after starting. Then the desktop shows up again. That means that it is not stable (while I am able to regard the graphics by pushing the graphics button in the manager).
Where is the problem? I tried to fix the problem, but nothing solved it. Can you help me? Or is it just a bug?

Yes, I believe there are some current issues with the screen saver presently. In general, it slows the crunching to run the screen saver anyway. But I believe it is an issue they're working on.

Check your windows screensaver settings. There is a "go to blank" option. Make sure there is a positive number in the minutes section even if the check box is not checked.

There are also sometimes screensaver problems when BOINC is set to work only when idle, make sure BOINC has a shorter delay than the screensaver.

If you have your screensaver to require a password on wake, the graphical version wont work.

I installed the software on another computer and, with BOINC set as the screen saver, the power saving part doesn't work. It goes to BOINC after 10 minutes but the monitor won't shut off after 20. Prior to the installation it did shut off. For now I will use another screen saver. Password not required to come out of screen saver.
