Is it possible to set a preference somewhere that allows you to choose between Rosetta and Rosetta Mini tasks? There are other projects that allow you to choose between apps/sub-projects, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. I've tried setting my target CPU time to 1 hour -- thinking "mini" might mean shorter run times -- but that doesn't seem to have made a difference.

No, Rosetta does not have an opt-in, opt-out preference for different applications.

And the same application is run regardless of the runtime preference selected.

Out of curiosity, what objective are you trying to achieve? Are you trying to reduce the memory used by Rosetta?

No host issues or technical considerations are involved. I'm merely working on a personal milestone related to the "mini" app.

Only rosetta python projects mentions VBOX.
Question 1: does that mean that the other two do not require VBOX?

I am not "automatically" getting WU that do not require VBOX.

Yes.
Also, Rosetta Mini tasks were deprecated a few years ago, so there are no more of them.
There are Rosetta (non-VBox tasks) and Rosetta Python (VBox) tasks. That's now it.

When there are "0" Rosetta tasks unsent, there are none currently available to download.
The main reason for this is they aren't issued as frequently as they used to be, so any that do come through are snapped up very quickly.
Many fewer people have VirtualBox installed, so they get used up very slowly.

To get Rosetta tasks, you have to be very patient atm. There's nothing more you need to do

Its a shame that web page has not been updated about Rosetta Mini.
I tried VBOX . I have a fear that those WU are spinning on a lock and wasting electricity.
In other VBOX projects, I noticed that VBOX uses internet I/O without honoring BOINC restrictions.
